2025 ADULT SAILING

This summer, KHYF is introducing Adult Sailing lessons on our Martin 242 keelboats. These classes are open to any skill level and are a great way to begin sailing. Sailors 18+ will be accompanied by a coach and taught the basics of sailing or racing. Classes can accommodate up to 4 students onboard each boat.

ADULT LEARN TO SAIL
Learn to Sail is a great way to get started with cruising. The class will cover the basics of rigging and sailing a 24-foot keelboat, adjusting the pace and curriculum to best match the class of sailors. Everyone will learn how to do each of the main roles on board the boat.

ADULT LEARN TO RACE
Learn to Race is for beginners ready to jump into the action and start competing. New sailors are welcome, however this course will be faster paced and focus on racing tactics. Thursday classes will incorporate racing in KHYC's weekly Twilight Races, which usually wrap up by 8:00PM. 

​All sessions will be $300/person.

ADULT LEARN TO RACE
